Description:
We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic individual into our team.
The role will be essential for ensuring the team is able to implement new ways of working and successfully modernise over the next few months.
Under direction of the head of external services, this role will play a pivotal part in organising the external services workload. Regular liaison with customers and the team will be required. Working closely with other members of the team will be critical to success. Building rapport with many people quickly will be a key essential skill.
With current relevant experience the right candidate will be expected to hit the ground running, and support the team during a demanding phase in the transformation of our regional service.

The successful candidate will be seconded during a critical time in the modernisation phase of the SQCL transformation project.
Provide support to the service with particular attention to updating the customer bookings in line with the new agreements as per the annex 1 update.

the ops lead is an integral member of the external team but will also need to liaise with the internal team, customer services and QA teams, as well as customers and suppliers. Good communication skills are therefore important, along with an approachable and ‘can do’ attitude.
To assist the Head of External Services to ensure the external testing services provided by the laboratory are in line with the quality management principles of the laboratory, meet performance objectives and supervise all on-site activities and support staff on a day to day basis.
To be responsible for the scheduling of work within the External Services section of the laboratory and ensuring all analytical reports are written, checked and released within the agreed turnarounds.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring all equipment within the section is maintained, calibrated, available for use and levels of consumable items are appropriately maintained.
To understand and implement quality management principles which will include investigating deviations and develop procedures and controlled documents
