They are looking for x3 SQL Developers to help with being responsible for the development and implementation of system applications that align with the strategic direction of the business. You will also help build scalable and efficient SQL to interact with the database servers, converting non-technical business requirements into technical requirements and solutions that you will develop, test, and deploy.
This role will be responsible for producing a quality end-product that is fit for purpose, and also working closely with the team, resolving escalations and diagnosing issues or bugs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Multiple years of experience working as a developer with extensive use of SQL
  • Previous experience working within environments which use MS Office and MS Access
  • Strong proficiency of existing technologies and emerging technologies and capabilities as applicable to Core IT Systems (VBA, SQL, SSIS, MS Access, VB.Net, C#)
  • Good understanding of Data Transformation Services, SSIS, VBA & SQL databases and data architecture.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing core systems in SQL Server Management Studio
  • Developing SQL back end with minimal changes in MS Access, Front End Systems
  • Write and optimise in-application SQL statements
  • Provide realistic estimate timescales of delivery against business requirements
  • Provide 3rd line support where applicable on current software applications
  • Maintain excellent communication with IT colleagues, other teams, partners, customers and suppliers
  • Manage work items from allocation to completion within our application lifecycle tool (Azure DevOps – Desirable)
