Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of our organization, enabling us to continue our mission of strengthening the community.
This role not only oversees our financial activities but also directly contributes to our mission of making a difference in people’s lives. Your financial expertise will support programs that provide vital services to youth, families, and individuals in need.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Four (4) Year Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have at least three (3) to five (5) years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, intermediate experience in Excel.
  • Ability to navigate accounting technology and reporting systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to audit work efficiently.
  • Comprehends Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • General Ledger Maintenance: Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of all financial transactions, overseeing month-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Supervise these functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, and managing vendor relationships.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements, monitor budget performance, and provide insights to Program Directors.
  • Daily Financial Operations & Cash Management: Oversee daily financial operations, including processing receipts and managing cash flow.
  • Audit and Compliance: Coordinate the annual audit process and ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
