Description:

Robert Half currently has a permanent position open for an experienced Senior Accountant with drive and know-how to join a rapidly-growing team in the OAK BROOK, Illinois area. As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
  • When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
  • Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
  • Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
  • Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
  • Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
  • Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
  • Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
  • Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
  • SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
  • Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
  • Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
  • Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
  • Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills
  • Strong time management skills preferred
  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
  • Proficiency in Audit Activities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP
  • General familiarity with Microsoft Excel
  • Accounting cycle experience desired
  • Big 4 Accounting Firm experience preferred
  • Accounting Functions experience required
  • Experience with Base SAS
  • Adeptness in CPG
  • Proficient in ERP systems
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
  • Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
  • 3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
  • Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
