Sr. Accountant

We are looking for a Sr. Accountant in Jupiter, Florida. The incumbent will play a critical role within our client’s team, responsible for a variety of functions including account reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations. This individual will also be tasked with managing the general ledger, fixed assets, project cost accounting, project reporting, and project billing.

• Oversee and manage account, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Maintain and control the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
• Manage fixed assets, tracking and recording all assets accurately.
• Handle project cost accounting, providing detailed and accurate financial information on all projects.
• Deliver comprehensive project reporting, providing stakeholders with regular updates and reports.
• Manage project billing, ensuring all costs are accurately invoiced and paid in a timely manner.
• Utilize accounting software (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Deltek) proficiently for various accounting tasks.
• Proactively manage and resolve any accounting issues that may arise.
• Handle multi-currency transactions and accounts, ensuring all currency conversions are accurate.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting and financial tasks.
• Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience as an accountant or in a related field
• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations is required
• Expertise in managing general ledger and making journal entries is essential
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are a must
• Experience in month-end close procedures is necessary
• Proficiency in using accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and Deltek is desired
• Experience in project cost and project billing is required
• Familiarity with multi-currency transactions is important
• Must hold a professional accounting certification or equivalent
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure is necessary
• Knowledge of current accounting regulations and standards is essential.
