Description:

We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in White Springs, Florida. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be part of a team that is responsible for providing financial and operations accounting expertise to support plant accounting functions. This role is critical for improving month-end close processes, verifying the proper accumulation of product flows, and performing raw material and finished product cost accounting.

SKILLS:

  • Proficient in General Ledger
  • Expertise in Manufacturing Cost Accounting
  • Knowledgeable in Fixed Asset Inventory
  • Skilled in Inventory Analysis
  • Expertise in Account Reconciliation
  • Proficient in Journal Entries
  • Proficiency in Oracle software
  • Demonstrable experience as a Sr. Accountant, with at least 3 years in the field.
  • Proficiency in General Ledger tasks and activities.
  • Experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting.
  • Ability to oversee and manage Fixed Asset Inventory.
  • Proficient in Inventory Analysis.
  • Skilled in Account Reconciliation.
  • Experience in preparing Journal Entries.
  • Familiarity with Oracle for accounting-related tasks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy in work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Become a subject matter expert for processes and complex agreements within the role
  • Participate in automation and process improvement projects
  • Verify the proper accumulation of product flows through our production areas and verification of month-end accumulations and reporting
  • Perform raw material and finished product cost accounting
  • Understand, identify and implement required internal controls, including certification reporting, audit responses and SOX controls
  • Participate in the physical asset verification process
  • Ensure Balance Sheet Accounts are effectively analyzed and managed
  • Complete Capital Project and Fixed Asset Accounting
  • Complete projects accounting
  • Perform ARO analysis and accounting
  • Analyze and prepare journals related to pre-strip accounting
  • Prepare high-risk account reconciliations
  • Prepare high-risk journal entries
