Description:
Amanda with Robert Half is in search of a meticulous and dedicated Sr. Project Accountant to become a part of a great team, situated in Sacramento, California. The role primarily involves project accounting in a construction environment. Some duties would include account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management. The Sr. Project Accountant will be instrumental in our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation to verify account balances
- Carry out bank reconciliations to confirm all transactions are recorded correctly
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting
- Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accounted for
- Operate NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP systems for various accounting functions
- Prepare journal entries as part of the company’s financial processes
- Assist in other accounting tasks as needed to support the financial health of the company
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably at a senior level
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
- Solid understanding of General Ledger operations and Journal Entries
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Month End Close procedures
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must have the legal right to work in the hiring country.
