Description:

We are offering an opportunity for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Dublin, California. This role is pivotal in the financial department of our telecom provider company. The job function will involve mid-level accounting tasks, general ledger maintenance, and accounting tech duties. This is a short-term contract role that offers a dynamic and challenging work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing, preparing, and posting journal entries
  • Approving account entries
  • Performing reconciliations including balance sheet accounts, revenue, and bank accounts
  • Maintaining the General Ledger
  • Handling up to 200 Accounts Payable (AP) invoices per week
  • Conducting cash deposit reconciliations and reporting
  • Preparing deposits
  • Utilizing software such as MS Excel for tasks including Pivot Tables and Vlookups, and other accounting software like Tyler Munis, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP
  • Handling end-of-month tasks, including account reconciliation and journal entries.

  • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation
  • Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations
  • Knowledge of General Ledger and Journal Entries
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in Month End Close operations
  • Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software
  • Understanding of Balance Sheet Account and Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
  • Ability to perform Month-end Journal Entries
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
