There’s a career-building opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join an innovative Non-Profit company in a permanent role in the DENVER, Colorado area. As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant role is located in Denver, Colorado within the Non-Profit field.

How you will make an impact

• Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
• Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
• Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
• Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
• Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
• Partake in various department-wide initiatives
• Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
• Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
• Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
• 5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
• Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
• Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
• Current and relevant ERP system experience
• Command of financial reporting
• Foundational knowledge in Payroll Taxes
• Solid understanding of Financial Statement
• Adeptness in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
• Balance Sheet Account experience highly desired
• Demonstrated knowledge of Software Implementations
• Deep understanding of journal entries
• Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
• Prior work done in public accounting is desired
• Demonstrated ability in strong analytical, quantitative and social skills
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
• Must have excellent time management skills
• Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
• Detailed and have the ability work independently
