Description:

We are offering a role within the healthcare industry based in Allentown, Pennsylvania, United States. This role is a Sr. Accountant who will be focusing on balance sheet analyses and preparing an audit-ready package monthly. The role is a contract to hire employment opportunity and will be based in a single workplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare complex accounting analyses and journal entries to maintain the accuracy of balance sheet accounts. These accounts may include accounts receivable, inventory, fixed assets, accruals, and reserves.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and other internal/external financials for use by internal operating management, board of directors, and external parties.
  • Utilize best practices and knowledge of internal/external business issues to improve products or solve complex problems. This focus would be on accounting processes, systems, and controls.
  • Perform analysis to assist in the preparation of monthly results and comparisons with budget.
  • Manage sections of the balance sheet.
  • Assist with quarterly and year-end reporting.
  • Assist in the improvement of internal controls.
  • Maintain a team mindset and effort. Work collaboratively with the finance team and organizational leaders.
  • Utilize skills in General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close.

  • Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant in the Healthcare/NHS industry
  • Proficiency in handling General Ledger activities
  • Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries accurately
  • Skilled in executing Month End Close processes
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Excellent data analysis and financial reporting abilities
  • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office Suite
  • Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy in work
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
