JOB DESCRIPTION

Agilists at U.S. Bank are customer obsessed with a focus on serving product teams, ensuring all product vision, planning and development activities are rooted in Agile and Product Values & Principles. Agilists enable the organization to consistently experiment and evolve business strategy based on prior outcomes and feedback. They drive culture change through day to day to work with a focus on Agile & Product mindset, values and continuous improvement and keep the team focused on achieving product goals using agile methods. Owns the agile practices of the team/product group/journey including cross-portfolio impacts, planning, dependency maps, OKRs and key metrics for success in partnership with Product Management, business partners, digital and technology modelling agile methods, values, and principles. Provides regular communication to stakeholders and partners for transparency and awareness of outcomes and impediments; creates visual displays and communications with key information and agile updates for leadership.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically five or more years of relevant experience
  • Advanced agile practice professional
  • Effective presentation, verbal and written communication skills

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Coach the organization, teams and individuals on Agile best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile values, principles, practices and experience in multiple Agile frameworks
  • Able to explain what Agile mindset means, what makes a great team and how both of those connect to the Agile Principles
  • Functional Manager for Scrum Masters, work directly with individuals (Scrum Masters, Product Owners and team members) to identify strengths and weaknesses of existing approaches, tools and dynamics
  • Experience acting as a facilitator, trainer, coach, and mentor for teams and organizations
  • Working technical knowledge of the software development process - design, development, test, and deployment
  • Prior Functional Management and People Leadership Experience
  • Experience with outcomes-based planning and delivery (i.e., OKR) a plus
  • Demonstrated growth and curiosity mindset
  • Experience in cross-team planning leveraging product design, discovery and delivery
  • Demonstrated experience in leading aspects of Agile transformation in a Product model
  • Effective communication, collaboration, facilitation and training skills

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE OFFERS A HYBRID/FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE, WHICH MEANS THERE’S AN IN-OFFICE EXPECTATION OF 3 OR MORE DAYS PER WEEK AND THE FLEXIBILITY TO WORK OUTSIDE THE OFFICE LOCATION FOR THE OTHER DAYS.
