Responsibilities:

  • Determines employee eligibility for Leaves of Absence, including but not limited to FMLA and State-specific related leaves, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability.
  • Provides accurate information to employees regarding leave eligibility and entitlements, as well as employee responsibilities before and during their leave.
  • Regularly interacts and communicates with employees, managers, and HRBP to ensure proper leave administration, leave tracking and certification/recertification requests are completed properly and timely.
  • Administers FMLA, Disability and personal leaves for employees in multiple States, in accordance with State and Federal regulations and Company-specific leave in accordance with policy.
  • Partners with 3rd party administrators to ensure timely and accurate claims processing.
  • Ensures proper tracking of LOA designated hours and certification end dates to ensure compliance with all applicable state/federal leave laws.
  • Maintains highly confidential employee Personal Health Information and files; ensures HIPAA compliance.
  • Responds to non-routine inquiries from management and employees regarding Leaves of Absence (LOAs) in a timely, customer-centric manner.
  • Conducts regular audits of the leave process to ensure adherence to policies, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Ensures that employees return to work as required and facilitates a high level of compliance with the return (e.g., medical restrictions as they pertain to the ADA, etc.)
  • Support the administration of company health and welfare plans including medical, dental, vision, life/disability, health savings and spending accounts, educational reimbursement and 401K/retirement and leave of absence programs.
  • Provide exceptional support to employees regarding benefit programs, ensuring their needs are met and questions are answered promptly.
  • Research and provide recommendations regarding escalated benefits issues involving internal and external partners.
  • Assist in tracking benefit costs, processing invoices, preparing benefit cost analysis, and summarizing employee benefits data.
  • Verify billing and invoice statements for accuracy and partner with Procurement and AP teams to ensure timely payments.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with internal partners, third party administrators and external vendors.
  • Support testing and execution during Annual Enrollment period.
  • Assist with developing benefits delivery branding, design, and utilization of communication tools to increase awareness of the benefit offerings, including intranet pages, creative email, and other communication campaigns.
  • Identifies opportunities for operational improvements and collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement changes effectively.
  • Assist in preparation of reports related to benefit plans, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

    A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $38,000-$155,000 which would be adjusted based on each employee’s geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs
