Description:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Min Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferably in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
- More than 5 years of experience preferably in logistics or supply chain management with experience in warehousing, land and marine transportation, forecasting, scheduling
- Strong business insights, analytical experiences and costing
- Strong financial background and knowledge
- Excellent communication skills and tactical planning skills
Key accountabilities includes
- Design logistics operational strategy to support business growth, the efficient logistics mode setup accross BU and region, inventory management strategy and long term logistics operational growth plan
- Monitor logistics performance operation team for execution related to regional plants, warehouse, highsea operations, including import & export shipments; ensure corrective action and import/export processes are in place to comply with regulations
- Along with SABIC digitalization strategy, work with cross functions, external partners to deliver digitaization solutions for logistics operations
- Monitor logistics activities and oversee external circumstances and requirements. Collaboration with internal SABIC functions for continuous logistics service level enhancement for better service and cost optimization.
- Develop & execute tactical Logistics Road Map for short and long term plan
- Logistics business scope, qualification, Logistics networking for optimal Logistics services
- Evaluate risk management plans (i.e SHERQ, , EHSS, BCP ) that incorporate into all logistics service scope
- Manage KPI targets in areas such as transit and delivery times, inventory levels, logistics costs and service standards, monitor and review the performance of all supply chain and logistics activities including planning & control, inventory management, storage, customs operation, warehousing, transportation and distribution against these goals
- Advise, challenge and support SCM department and internal stakeholders on operational issues and improvement opportunities
- Responsible for Supply Chain related reporting , Inventory management and stock take on assigned facilities
- Supports in all matters related to the operations of assigned region facilities all marine transportation, inventory monitoring, contracted vendor’s billing settlement
- To prepare logistics budget planning cycle and manage its utilization within assigned region
- Involve Supply Chain costs as per budget and liaise with stakeholders to support business goals and plans
- Involve cost optimzation and process improvements proposal with cross functional teams
- Involve in regular logistics cost closing with finance team as ROA overall logistics cost champion
- Involve in supply chain risk assessments & define mitigating actions for severe deficiencies in supply chain risk assessment
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing, maintaining and improving internal KPI reporting and supporting Supply Chain department with internal and external data for quality service management and supplier evaluation.
- Responsible for maintaining generic market information and specific segment information to support Logistics cost optimization.
- Ensures best in class market and business intelligence for Supply Chain Management and facilitates the decision making process within SCM and other key stakeholders on a strategic, tactical and operation level through delivering tailored intelligence.
- Responsible and accountable for subject region Logistics Services as well as all its related procured services utilization (e.g. Road/Rail/Air Transportation/Ocean, 3PL /LLP Management, Surveyors, Documentation, Custom Brokerage, etc.)to ensure comply with organization values and business goals
- Ensure optimum Supply Chain capability and its services to transportation to and from regional plants, warehouses, shipping, delivery, highsea and other related aspects.
- Ensure efficient SC Logistics activities for incoming and outgoing for regional plants, and warehouses, ensure accurate physical inventory and SC reporting to meet SBU’s performance & financial goals, as well as oversees its EHSS , sustainability and Compliances.
- Make recommendations to delivery strategy in response to cost analyses, work to reduce overall logistics costs, ensure logistics operations are at optimum efficiency and stay within budgetary constraints
- Initiate logistics operation strategy with cross function teams, the scope including but not limited to inventory management, warehouse strategy and business mode design in ROA
- Engage in new business scenario design and logistics operation soultion provider as key stakeholder in ROA or global initiated task
- Customs compliance operation including bonded, non bonded operation of trading business and JV plants, and support internal/external audit
