What you’ll be doing
As the Sr. Analyst, Privileged Access Management, you will join CIBC’s Privileged Access Management transformation team & manage the enterprise vault and Hashicorp lifecycle end to end. You will support the execution of our team’s mandate by effectively vaulting privileged IDs on various endpoints. Your efforts will help us ensure better security posture, compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. You will identify needs and contribute to governance initiatives by bringing expertise gained in the field around practical security governance, in the development of CIBC policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines; develop guidelines for the usage, control, maintenance and compliance of information and computer resources. You will provide technical expertise in development and support of all activities, processes, procedures and tools used for validating and insuring the integrity of information security. This can include analysis of existing process/procedures, development/maintenance of clear training/work level instruction documentation, review and update of controls and supporting documentation, coordinate and maintain currency of all knowledge related to the Life cycle of Privileged Access Management.
You will complete daily operations tasks, maintenance, documentation, and monitoring of the Vault environment while demonstrating capabilities for improvements. Assist clients and in mentoring junior engineers in Agile standard processes, elevating team proficiency and cohesiveness. You will rotate on-call coverage with the rest of the team.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Assessment & Evaluation - You will be responsible for examining, interpreting documentation, and verbal information to assess risks. You will assess and secure privileged IDs on various endpoints, ensure the appropriate controls are followed and enforced during the onboarding activities while minimizing impact and risk exposure to the business
  • Consulting - You will be responsible for collaborating with projects and other technology or business partners to create and execute privileged access management for new/existing infrastructure, aligning with Identity & Access Management (IAM) initiatives and related policies, standards, and procedures to help enhance our information security posture. Assist other teams in investigation of potential security incidents and provide recommendations to remediate.
  • Process Improvement - Recommend solutions to enhance processes, eliminate risks, and improve the speed and quality of key services to our partners. Apply appropriate tools to perform problem determination and root cause analysis; identify bottlenecks, redundancies and vulnerabilities of existing processes as they relate to privileged access management.
  • Knowledge Sharing - working closely with internal and external partners to ensure that information security best practices are understood and applied; ensuring that knowledge repositories are kept up to date and are transparent to internal partners where applicable; development of and execution of regular and ad-hoc reporting and communications to support PAM initiatives

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience in Information Security. It’s an asset if you have experience with control, compliance, audit testing and provisioning. Experience in advancing continuous improvement agendas including process documentation is an asset. Experience with reporting tools is an asset.
  • You have a degree/diploma in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field. Experience with Privileged Identity Management tools is an asset. Experience with Access Provisioning on multiple infrastructure platforms is an asset.
