DESCRIPTION:

Role Summary:

• Support Capital Markets initiatives including: - Deposits, securities lending, debt facilities, hedging, and other products - Bank partner management across all products
• Candidate to work on managing the securities lending process - financial analysis, coordinate with internal stakeholders (Accounting, Compliance, FP&A, Trading), progress tracking and updates
• Work with Capital Markets team to enhance and implement risk management framework
• Produce timely reports highlighting key treasury activities and risk metrics for stakeholders
• Partner with internal teams (including Finance, Compliance) to ensure smooth implementation of all process documentation and process improvement changes
• Benchmark analysis of Wealthsimple KPI’s against peers
• Will be working alongside the Senior Manager, and reporting to the Director of the Capital Markets group
• Will have exposure to other Treasury functions, including Liquidity Management, Cash Management, Capital Management

MUST HAVE 1: 3-5+ Years of Treasury/Cap Markets Manager experience- Financial Services experience preferred

• Cap Markets experience (STRONGLY PREFERED)
• FX, Hedging
• Cash Management
• Securities Lending, Asset-backed Securities (ABS), Collateralized Lending
• REPO, Repurchase agreements

MUST HAVE 2: Excellent communication skills- Track record of working with external counterparties

Dealing with the below:

• Financial Institutions
• Sales onboarding groups
• Credit Risk
• Compliance
• Trading desks

MUST HAVE 3: Degree in Accounting/Finance or similar

EXPERIENCE LEVEL:

Intermediate Level
