EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Ability to travel and be on-site at PurposeCare Agency or branch office(s) 20% of the time.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a focus on benefits administration, leave management, and worker’s compensation.
- Mergers and Acquisitions experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, AD, and data analysis tools (Power BI).
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Strong understanding of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
- Experience managing worker’s compensation claims and coordinating safety programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Responsibilities:
PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
The Sr. Benefits Administrator will be responsible for overseeing aspects of benefits administration, leaves, worker’s compensation, and unemployment for the overall agency. Expertise in HR policy administration, compliance, and employee relations will be crucial in ensuring effective management of the workforce and maintaining a positive work environment.
POSITION ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Benefits Administration:
- Develop and implement comprehensive benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
- Manage open enrollment processes, ensuring accurate and timely communication to employees.
- Review the mix of benefits offered to employees and assess their effectiveness; make recommendations to vary offerings based on current best practices, cost, and satisfaction of employees regarding benefits.
- Collaborate with benefits providers and brokers on renewals or service bids, utilization experience, cost management, and plan design options; review vendors’ performance and recommend changes to management.
- Remain current on industry benefits practices and changing legal issues, assessing and communicating potential impact on the business, along with providing recommendations/solutions to address any concerns.
- Work with HRIS Specialist and Payroll team to ensure benefits set up and administration is working properly in the HRIS and vendors receive proper benefits enrollment and termination information.
- Serve as the main point of contact for employees’ benefit-related inquiries, providing guidance and resolving issues.
- Partner with the Vice President of Human Resources on the integration of benefits programs during the acquisition process.
- Educate and train employees on benefits and communicate benefit changes effectively.
- Review and recommend changes to benefit documentation, including contracts, plan documents, and summaries.
