Description:

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field (ex. Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, Comp Sci etc.).
  • MBA, CFA considered an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Hands-on experience with data retrieval, analysis, visualization, and manipulation tools (ex. SQL, Tableau, Excel and Powerpoint) and complex valuation/reporting infrastructures (input/output, system logic, system dependencies, data lineage).

STRONG CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS WITH AN ABILITY CONNECT/LINK VARIOUS CONCEPTS AND/OR PIECES OF INFORMATION AS IT RELATES TO THE OVERALL PORTFOLIO IMPACT.

Responsibilities:

THE TEAM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SUMMARIZING MARGIN AND NII PERFORMANCE FOR NORTH AMERICAN BUSINESS LINES THROUGH CENTRALIZED TABLEAU REPORTING TOOL WITH UNDERLYING SQL TABLES. THE GROUP WILL OWN THE EXPLANATION OF ACTUAL, FORECAST AND STRESS TESTING RESULTS BY ISOLATING MACRO (CAPITAL MARKETS, ECONOMIC) AND PRODUCT SPECIFIC DRIVERS TO INFORM STAKEHOLDERS FROM TBSM, PRODUCT MANAGEMENT AND FINANCE.

The Senior Analyst , FTP Reporting will be responsible for producing recurring reports on actuals and forecasted portfolio margin and NII, investigating and articulating key drivers of performance while supporting ad-hoc tasks related to the portfolios of coverage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE:

  • Own the production and presentation of margin, NII, attribution reporting for CDN / US Retail / Corporate (Capital) products within established SLAs, developing portfolio expertise to explain key drivers of results.
  • Initiate investigations into actual and forecast portfolio results with tenacity and curiosity.

  • Changes in interest rates, producing reporting to explain movements relative to historical actual and forecast periods.

  • Develop new reporting while continuously advancing and rationalizing existing reporting views to maximize value.
  • Support initiatives and ad-hoc requests from partners.
  • Provide secondary reporting support for similar portfolios.
  • Demonstrate expertise with Tableau, SQL, and Reporting and Valuation in-house infrastructures to allow for efficiency in reporting & attribution process, investigations, and troubleshooting.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Product Management, Finance, as well as other TBSM teams (such as US ALM, FTP teams, Modelling and MRMA). These relationships will be essential in understanding trends and articulating consistent internal narratives.
  • Contribute to an engaging team culture, sharing knowledge and ideas to increase treasury, banking, and reporting expertise.
