Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
BAE Systems is seeking a Sr. Cable Infrastructure Engineer to join our team for an exciting opportunity to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC3). This position focuses on using in-depth knowledge of designing complex cable plans, layout structures and existing cabling systems to solve technical engineering problems relating to secure, non-secure voice, video, data, and radio frequency cable infrastructure.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining cable infrastructure labeling standards in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and directives
- Installing, replacing, repairing, removing, terminating, and testing new and existing LAN cabling in accordance with applicable policies and industry best practices.
- Developing and maintaining IT wiring diagrams
- Solving issues related to cables and networks
- Testing and terminating cables
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
- Minimum 10 years of experience in in designing, installing, and troubleshooting issues related to secure/non-secure voice, video, data, and radio frequency cable infrastructure
- Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) Technician Certification
