Sr. Cost Accountant

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Cost Accountant in Odessa, Texas. This role is with an oilfield services manufacturing and equipment organization. As a Sr. Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for cost accounting tasks, inventory management, and working closely with vendors to provide accurate internal costs for reporting. This is a hybrid schedule or 1 week a month onsite and 3 weeks remote.

Set up and maintain cost accounting process for component-based manufacturing of frac pumps. Must have experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP – Manufacturing Module. Maintaining bill of materials, and vendor relationships, PO’s, cross functional with Supply Chain leadership. Inventory management and variance reporting to track internal costs. 50% clerical and 50% analytical detail.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
• Professional certification such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is preferred
• Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Dynamics GP – Manufacturing/Costing Module
• Ability to Travel and be on-site 1 week out of each month
• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions
• Proficiency in managing and executing Budget Processes
