Description:
Overview:
The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for querying leveraging relational databases and transforming large data sets through PowerBI into reports and visualizations to inform senior level decision making and improve operational processes with our servicing partners. The ideal candidate would have experience working in mortgage servicing with familiarity in government mortgages. The Data Analyst would be focused on helping to track and monitor specific areas of the portfolio with a heavy concentration on reducing exposure to loss and improving claim efficiency and underperformance. This role will focus primarily on analytics that support advance management and default VA oversight.
The role can take advantage of Lakeview’s offices in Ft. Lauderdale, FL hybrid. Work days will be Monday & Friday at home. Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday in office. The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $90,000 with annual bonus; however, Bayview considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, location and key skills.
Responsibilities:
- Compile, clean, structure, and analyze large data in a clear and thorough manner
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimizations
- Arrive at and communicate meaningful insights that inform decision making
- Able to simplify and distill complex data
- Develop dashboard, visuals, and larger scale reporting suits to monitor performance and provide feedback loop to acquisition models
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in computer science, big data, information management.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with and demonstrating knowledge of data governance, data quality management concepts and data quality tools
- Strong knowledge of and experience using Power BI and SQL databases.
- Experience in Python, R , or similar programming language
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Process oriented with strong documentation skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work through problems logically
