• Under the direction of the Manager of Data Science, formulate solutions to problems related to loyalty economics;
• Design analyses to support the development BJ’s engagement and loyalty strategies across all channels;
• Use the right statistical techniques to provide ad hoc data science support to drive data driven decision making and strategies across the membership, engagement, loyalty, CRM and member insight space;
• Partner in the creation of our engagement and personalization testing plans and provide “next level” insights related to the measurement of tests;
• Frame business problems and decompose their constituent parts for data science analysis and building new solutions;
• Build machine learning models and use applied statistics (supervised/unsupervised learning, lift modeling, linear/nonlinear programming, feature selection) to support the business;
• Certify all engagement and loyalty testing/measurement (hypothesis testing, A/B testing, design of experiment, sample size/power calculation);
• Communicate data science concepts/insights to non-technical audiences
