SUMMARY:

We are seeking a talented Senior Data Scientist to lead our efforts in optimizing and advancing our virtual power plant initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in leveraging data-driven insights to enhance the performance, reliability, and scalability of our VPPs. As a Senior Data Scientist specializing in VPPs, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy advanced analytics solutions, drive strategic decision-making, and shape the future of energy management.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with timestamped event data and common data transformations.
  • Extensive experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches including in the fields of Machine Learning, Statistical Modelling, Forecasting, Energy, or other fields
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau) and dashboarding platforms.
  • Highly analytical with strong, demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Graduate Degree in a Quantitative field (Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science) or relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of work experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate difficult business problem statements into analytical modeling requirements and maintain high bar throughout the execution.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover insights and trends that drive business value.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy scalable solutions and integrate analytics into existing systems.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and compelling visualizations, reports, and presentations.
  • Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand business requirements, prioritize projects, and deliver actionable recommendations.
