Are you ready to help us design and build our LaserWeeder that solve real problems in our food supply?
As a Sr. Electrical Engineer, PCB at Carbon Robotics will work with the team that designs and lays out new PCB electrical systems, testing new systems and iterating on designs with your mechanical and software peers. You’ll work with schematics and sub-system integrations into CAD, and provide manufacturing support to our CM partners. You’ll do whatever it takes - which might include going to the farm - to ensure our customers have reliable and safe products.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES FOR SUCCESS:

  • Work as Electrical Engineer to design and implement embedded systems hardware to include experience with Microcontroller execution modeling and memory architecture for 5+ years with large electrical systems
  • Hands on experience in hardware debug and automated verification
  • Experience in schematic design and PCB layout using Altium v18 or higher required
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and a desire to work in multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a team to achieve timely objectives
  • Working knowledge with one or more: FreeRTOS, SMT MCUs, firmware in C, tooling in Python
  • Experience with or interest in RF/wireless
  • BS+ in Electrical Engineering or related field

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Engineering teams to Design revolutionary Laser Weeding product
  • Quickly prototype, troubleshoot, and iterate designs with ownership and collaboration to design PCB’s, panel layouts, and harnesses for our custom hardware
  • Drive decision through project planning, task delegation and leading problem solving efforts to reiterate quickly
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure designs that maintain industry-leading quality and reliability
