Description:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or higher
  • Relevant Experience in technical program and product management, technical development or related technical roles in the industrial EV charging solutions sector.
  • Proficiency with tools/systems to analyze data including Excel, Access, or other data management systems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in written and verbal German

    Within AMZL, the Electrification team is ensuring long-term electrical power supply is aligned with Amazon’s eMobility plans. The Sr Energy Strategy manager will manage power upgrade projects across our MEU network. This includes managing relationship with external (DNO and vendors) as well as external stakeholders (Launch & Expansion, Design & Construction, Sustainable Engineering, Procurement teams), project contracting and financial supervision, to ensure power is delivered on time to enable EV fleet deployment at lower cost possible.
    The candidate will also manage innovative projects for on-site power generation solutions required when power is missing from the grid (e.g. H2 generator).

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute power upgrade projects in MEU.
  • Prioritize projects with biggest impact on our business, propose and obtain approval from relevant functional leaders, and schedule resources
  • Manage DNOs (Electric Distribution Network Operators) and vendor relationships
  • Establish and maintain a close and constant exchange with the EU Procurement, L&E, D&C and Sustainability Engineering teams, to collaborate and learn.
  • Support or lead additional sustainability projects across EU (energy management, resiliency, alternative power generation) or in new geographies.
  • Manage alternative power generation portfolio accross EU.
    This position requires Ownership and Dive Deep, with a mix of leadership, soft skills and technical acumen along with program administration. This candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills to drive consensus across multiple stakeholders. Also, this opportunity requires excellent troubleshooting, problem solving, and the ability to succeed in a fast paced technical environment. The ability to work independently and deal with an ambiguous environment is a must. The ideal candidate is motivated, innovative, agile, and has exemplary time management and project management skills. A passion for sustainability is required.
