What You Will Do:

  • While working independently, able to find, deliver, and complete custom engineering analysis and energy efficiency calculations for assigned industrial customers.
  • Establish and build operational and technical relationships with customers at all levels in the organization aimed at developing long-term trust and commitment from the customer to improve energy efficiency.
  • Utilize internal tracking system to manage project lifecycle and ensure documentation is complete for potential audits and verifications.
  • Proactively contact assigned industrial accounts and conduct site visits to assist customers with the identification, business screening, and technical evaluation of potential energy conservation opportunities in pursuit of natural gas savings.
  • Develop, update, and execute annual customer and project plans to forecast current year energy conservation delivery results.
  • Working in collaboration with internal Enbridge departments to complete all application requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and other colleagues to complete assigned work safely and accurately to meet annual targets and deadlines.

Who You Are:

  • Post-secondary degree in Engineering (preferred mechanical, chemical, or electrical) with minimum 6+ years’ experience in project engineering, technical sales/consulting, or project management in industrial environments. Consideration will be given for individuals with 4+ years of experience as Engineer, Industrial Energy Efficiency.
  • Membership in Professional Engineers of Ontario or within Canadian jurisdiction.
  • Experience with energy and process efficiency projects for Industrial facilities.
  • Self-motivated, self-starter, able to operate independently but work with team of like-minded professionals.
  • Relationship builder, customer, and results focused.
  • Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal to internal and external audiences.
  • Curious and eager to learn about industrial facilities and their process operations.
  • Passion for upholding Enbridge’s core values of Safety, Integrity, Respect, and Inclusion along with our ways of working.
  • Certified Energy Manager would be an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • This role is a mix of office based (60%) and field based (40%) and requires travelling mainly within Ontario including overnight. Valid driver’s license with a responsible driving record is needed.
