Position Purpose
Performs complex engineering assignments often requiring development of new or improved products, processes, or techniques. Assesses feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering tests, products, and equipment. Plans, organizes and implements engineering projects within specific objectives and target dates as specified by management.
Responsibilities
Contributes to successful program and or project completion by participating in the resolution of issues such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard materials, and complex coordination requirements.
Coordinates program and or project activities with other operating or engineering units to facilitate participation of appropriate staff in project completion.
Reviews program and or project-related documentation to ensure accuracy. Coordinates the implementation of designed engineering solutions.
Participates in professional organizations to maintain current knowledge of technical innovations.
Assists in determining program and or project objectives to contribute to the development of a comprehensive project design.
Works on and resolves complex engineering tasks and problems and provides technical expertise to projects and or operational management.
Support the development and implementation of maintenance strategies.
Review the effectiveness of maintenance execution tasks to achieve the desired integrity and availability outcomes, and, where necessary, utilise risk-based maintenance management tools to improve and optimise maintenance schemes.
Be the custodian for site monitoring, control, safeguarding, metering, electrical, and telecoms systems and associated hardware and software.
Provide technical advice and support to site operations and to maintenance execution teams as necessary for the resolution of engineering problems.
Follow and ensure local implementation of strategies, processes and regulations set by the relevant Process Owner, Process Manager.
Your Profile
University Degree Master Engineering/Technical

7 years
Expert knowledge on IEC 61508/61511, ESD Systems, ATEX, SIL, API and Hazardous Area Standards.
Brownfield and/or Greenfield experience in oil and gas is required.
Strong understanding of discipline legislative and technology requirements and demonstrated capability to apply this into equipment inspection/maintenance regime.
Possess experience in wide range of process control instrumentation and Electrical equipment.
Knowledge in alarm management and certified TUV functional safety engineer is an advantage.
