Description:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- MS or BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 7 years of related work experience
- Strong grasp of equipment systems in relationship to chemical processes – pumps, analytical instruments, process instruments, control system operation.
- Strong communication skills allowing for excellent communication to all levels in the organization in various forms from design documents to procedures to management presentations

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of production and delivery of Ultra Pure Water (UPW) to the site production areas. Includes engineering oversight of the UPW system operations and maintenance. System includes RO, EDI, DI and ultrafiltration for world class pure water.
- Responsible for the development of procedures, development and tracking of UPW operational budget and capital planning.
- Responsible for the Supervision of the UPW Operations technicians.
- Responsible for waste water treatment systems including pH neutralization, fluoride precipitation and water reclaim systems.
- Responsible to create detailed designs for piping and controls for the UPW and other systems to be issued to contractors.
- Direct CAD designers and support inter-discipline coordination in preparation of project designs.
- Partner with business unit customers and facilities operations to provide engineering solutions in support of their equipment and systems.
- Plan and prepare designs, specifications and estimates for projects compliant to local & international mechanical codes.
- Evaluate submittals, and contractor/manufacturer-furnished information.
- Inspect specific construction and/or maintenance work to ensure adherence to design plans.
- Support system start-up, system optimization, and shut down functions. Analyze and determine root cause of factory outages due to system failures.
- Provide direction for restoration of operations in the event of system failures, breakdowns, or other emergency situations.
- Conduct FMEA review of UPW and water reclaim/recycle systems.
