JOB SUMMARY
Provide technical leadership within teams responsible for providing financial and subscriber analytics using multiple enterprise data platforms; develop, implement and maintain dashboards and reports for the XGIE Product Finance team; perform data extraction and transformation using the following SQL flavors: Trino, Spark and Teradata; code in Python; build data visualizations with Tableau; administer the Product Finance Tableau Server site; and utilize Excel and its advanced functions, including PowerPivot, XLookup and array functions. Responsible for working cross-functionally to collect data and develop models to determine trends utilizing a variety of data sources. Retrieves, analyzes and summarizes business, operations, employee, customer and/or economic data to develop business intelligence, optimize effectiveness, predict business outcomes and decision-making purposes. Involved with numerous key business decisions by conducting the analyses that inform our business strategy. This may include: impact measurement of new products or features via normalization techniques, optimization of business processes through robust A/B testing, clustering or segmentation of customers to identify opportunities of differentiated treatment, deep dive analyses to understand drivers of key business trends and development of frameworks to drive upsell strategy for existing customers by balancing business priorities with customer activity. Has in- depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Core Responsibilities
Works with business leaders and stakeholders to understand data and analysis needs and develop technical requirements.
Determines relevance of data and identifies alternative data sources as needed to ensure analytics requested by business stakeholders can be completed.
Analyzes large, complex data to determine actionable business insights using self-service analytics and reporting tools.
Queries disparate big data platforms such as Teradata, and AWS/Databricks using advanced SQL techniques including relational joins and temp tables; data cleaning and uploads; CTEs; aggregation, window and analytic functions; and data-transformation (convert, cast, substring, etc.).
Combines data as needed from disparate data sources to complete analysis.
Creates effective Tableau dashboards using calculated fields, parameters, LOD expressions, presenting extracts or live data as practical. Formatting must provide visual clarity and surface the story.
Dashboards should prioritize the ability for stakeholders to do data discovery. Most dashboards will also provide robust, user-friendly data-download options.
Provides data, analytics and reporting to support Xfinity Product Finance FP&A team development of strategic plans, budgets and forecasts using substantial technical skills.
Develops effective presentations of the delivered data in the appropriate tool for the current need: Excel via charts and pivot tables leveraging advanced functions like XLOOKUP() and array formulas; PowerPoint presentations; Tableau dashboards.
Publish to and maintain the team’s Tableau Server site. Schedule jobs and manage user access and permissions.
Maintains and enhances existing weekly and monthly scheduled reports, creates new scheduled reports and ad hoc analyses as required.
Identifies key business drivers and insights by conducting exploratory data analysis and hypothesis testing.
Analyzes the results of campaigns, offers or initiatives to measure their effectiveness and identifies opportunities for improvement. Communicates findings clearly and concisely through narrative-driven presentations and effective data visualizations to Company executives and decisionmakers.
Promotes and evangelizes a culture of excellence, data driven discussions, healthy skepticism, intellectual curiosity, knowledge sharing, and teamwork.
Stays current with emerging trends in analytics, statistics, and machine learning and applies them to business challenges.

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree
