The pay range is $69,000.00 - $124,200.00

As a Senior Financial Analyst, Global Supply Chain & Logistics (GSCL) Finance, you’ll oversee the financial performance of Target’s last mile delivery expense for our guests. Given our digital sales growth and the increasing role that digital fulfillment is playing in the marketplace, the role is critical to ensuring we deliver on the guest experience while ensuring disciplined financial performance and capacity management. Reporting to the Director of Last Mile GSCL Finance, you’ll be supported along the way to challenge your partners to drive continued financial success and to provide them with analytical insights of their performance. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs, but the role will have accountability to delivering the following:

  • ownership of core financial routines for the ship expense business, influencing over $1B in expense inclusive of annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and actual performance recaps to Finance and business leaders.
  • partner with various FP&A and Last Mile teams, building financial tools and models that help advance the business
  • develop ad hoc analytics to explain key business drivers, size the financial impact of various last mile tactics, and influence strategic decisions
  • participate in national carrier negotiations and capacity conversations, modeling the financial impact of proposals and helping our business partners drive towards optimal outcomes
  • key interface for the Last Mile team specifically with data foundations/data science partners.

About you:

  • 4-year college degree with equivalent experience (3-6 years) in Finance and/or Operations
  • Strong technical skill set around modeling and data (SQL knowledge preferred)
  • Uses analysis to influence with facts and data
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work on multiple tasks and deliver outcomes
  • Comfortable developing multiple scenarios to communicate a risk adjusted range of expected financial performance
  • Willingness to make financial recommendations with a progress over perfection mindset
  • Ability to work with all levels of management with high level of autonomy, motivation, and self-direction
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to establish and nurture connections across the enterprise to build a network of partners and resources
  • Natural curiosity to ask questions and look within the data for outliers and connections to improve upon existing tools and processes
  • Embraces all perspective through empathy, curiosity, and listening

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
