Description:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Chartered Professional Accountant, or equivalent.
- 3-5 years in accounting, budgeting and analytical review, ideally in a not-for-profit setting
- Experience with Ministry of Health reporting processes (CAPS, ARR, SRI, OHRS) an asset
- Strong computer skills including knowledge of and experience in Excel; experience with Sage 300, Business Central, and ADP
- Effective time management, decision making and organizational skills
- High level of confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with internal staff and management and external auditors and stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience.
- Ability to design, analyze, and prepare financial reports.

Responsibilities:
- Preparation of regular funding reports, including OHRS, SRIs, and CAPS and Board of Directors
- Creates monthly/quarterly financial reports for Board of Directors and GCHC leadership.
- Prepare funder reporting, variance analysis and forecasting as required, to meet organizational requirements
- Develop and monitor the annual budget process for operations and capital and relate submissions
- Support and advise leadership team during budget processes and forecasting
- Develop and implement controls around all financial aspects of the organization
- Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, invoicing, and other related duties to meet month-end and year-end obligations
- Maintain the overall integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts
- Other accounting related duties as required
