Sr. Grant Accountant

Robert Half is partnered with a government entity looking to add a Senior Grant Accountant to their organization.
The Senior Grant Accountant offers a hybrid work schedule in Richmond, Virginia.
The Senior Grant Accountant will be responsible for assisting with cleaning up a backlog of grant reconciliations work, process remittances and drawdowns, apply for reimbursements, recording journal entries for the appropriate ledgers, working with project managers and department heads to ensure grant funds are allocated properly, and assisting in financial reporting for individual grants. Additional duties include insuring grants are set up properly in compliance with GAAP and the terms of the grant.
3+ years of grant accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
GAAP Accounting experience
Federal grant experience is a strong plus
Strong Excel skills to include pivot tables and V-Look ups.
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
