Description:

Qualification
The Senior HSE Engineer shall be a qualified Engineer with minimum of 12 years of experience in safety works in similar projects out of a minimum 15 years overall experience.

Ability to lead implementation of Health Safety and Environmental Standards, guidelines, policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment at ADNOC Distribution Projects.

  • Have strong understanding of the HSE issues, practices, and behavioural aspects in the Civil and Oil & Gas EPC business.
  • Able to lead a team of HSE professionals from Contractors and Sub-Contractors such as HSE Managers, HSE Engineers, Sr. HSE officers, HSE officers, Hygiene officers, Transport officers, etc.
  • Conduct site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE requirements. Competency and Practical experience in implementation in SSOW (PTW/ WMS/ Risk Assessment etc.).
  • Sound understanding of the HSE Management System and HSE legislative requirements.
  • Ability to develop and implement HSE plans, Welfare plans, Emergency response procedures/plans and site specific HSE procedures / risk assessments / work instructions.
  • Ability to review and endorse Contractors submitted HSE documents such as HSE plans, Method statement, Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analysis, etc, ensuring that all HSE compliances, hazards/aspects have been systematically identified and controlled to As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).
  • Lead HSE meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility among contractors and employees.
  • Maintain detailed HSE documents, reports, logs, checklists, etc. ensuring all these are properly logged and documented.
  • Broad knowledge and experience in audit processes and ability to conduct HSE audits.
  • Ability to analyze and investigate incidents and apply immediate and root cause analysis techniques, including incident reporting and investigation processes, ensuring that all incidents are properly documented, and lessons learned are communicated and other HSE-related activities.
  • Ability to conduct training/awareness sessions on relevant HSE procedures applicable to the SOW.
  • Ability to implement practical H2S control measures.
  • Effective interpersonal and verbal & written good communication skills.
