The Senior Internal Communications Specialist provides strategic communications counsel to all leaders and other team members to achieve business goals. Develops and helps drive organizational communication strategy and research to determine best communication approaches for the organization. Implements internal communication tactics and manage internal communication channels. Recommends innovative ways to communicate across Novant Health Consults, creates and reviews communication plans for strategic projects. Must have the ability to comprehend Novant Health in its entirety and recognize interdependence and connections between and among its various systems and processes.

Must work effectively across a large, complex organization. • Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities. Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders. Apply a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required.

Expert in internal communications strategies and tactics. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to establish good working relationships. Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills. Superior project management and time management skills. A wide degree of creativity, latitude, independent, self-starter. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Publisher. Must have excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to drive/travel to multiple locations/facilities as needed.
