Sr. Management Analyst/Public Health (Stakeholder Engagement)

OVERVIEW

Aveshka is looking for a Stakeholder Engagement Senior Management Analyst in support of a high-tempo, high visibility, and high-impact office within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) is a public health preparedness and emergency response organization in the Office of the Secretary at HHS. ASPR was created under the Pandemic and All Hazards Preparedness Act in the wake of Hurricane Katrina to lead the nation in preventing, preparing for, and responding to the adverse health effects of public health emergencies and disasters. This role further supports the Immediate Office, which is the executive leadership program office within ASPR.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education:

• Graduate Degree in Public Health or related field

Required Experience:

• 4-6 years of relevant experience (e.g., knowledge of public health preparedness and response)

Required Clearance:

• Public Trust Eligible

Desired Qualifications:

• Ability to perform effectively in a quick-paced, time-demanding, and sensitive environment
• Proficient in the full Microsoft Office suite programs
• Proficient in virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Teams and Zoom)
• Have exceptional organizational skills with meticulous note-taking and follow-up skills
• Capable of managing high-level engagements related to mission areas
• Ability to develop written and/or analytic products to inform leadership decision making and briefing senior-level officials
• Ability to prepare concise, well-reasoned, analytical reports for various high-level audiences
• Previous experience working across teams and performing a coordinating role for intra- or inter-departmental initiatives is desired

• Coordinate requests for ASPR participation in meetings, workshops, and conferences
• Identify external stakeholders to participate in ASPR-sponsored meetings and other activities
• Identify new external stakeholder partnership opportunities
• Conduct thorough analysis and/or research relevant to ASPR programmatic topics
• Coordinate and execute logistical and other activities for ASPR-sponsored external stakeholder meetings
• Assist in the coordination and preparation of talking points and PowerPoint presentations for ASPR senior staff participation in external meetings, workshops, and conferences
• Assist in conducting internal and external analysis of ASPR-related stakeholder engagement opportunities; prepare analytical reports
• Assist in collecting and tracking external stakeholder engagements and inputting data in database systems, as required
• Graduate degree in a public health or related field
