Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Canadian Contracts Team. Use your experience and business acumen to advise on the assessment, creation, and negotiation of sales contracts and orders with customers and in collaboration with sales. Additionally, use your experience and persuasiveness to lead contract activities, personnel, grow stakeholder relationships, and execute/enhance the corporate strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Lead contract activities, establish and implement plan, personnel, budgeting, expenditure management, priorities, and method adjustments. Deliver meaningful, accurate, and timely contract performance data and analysis to help stakeholders make fact-based business choices and support strategy implementation. Set operational goals and assign Team tasks. Review objectives for operation success. Use company policies to solve problems. Understand contract commitments and work with business to implement them.
- Understand contract obligations and work with the business to implement them. Work with sales support, order management, project manager, and other functional areas to fulfill and execute contracts efficiently. Supervise contract execution, set KPIs; develop team expertise; coach and mentor, while evaluating performance. Improve contract procedures resulting in immediate operational and company-wide impact.
- Act as trusted adviser to customers as well as internal stakeholders regarding deployment of contract strategies, merger and acquisitions, and contract obligations. Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Network with key contacts outside own area of expertise to identify root cause and countermeasures and build solutions to improve the efficiency and quality of contract management. Drive continuous improvements by applying LEAN (i.e., daily management and continuous improvement).
