THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a driven, self-motivated and entrepreneurial individual who has a desire to be part of an early stage company. As our Sr. Manager, Data & Business Systems you will be instrumental in developing the organization’s Data unit, acting as both a strategic leader and a hands-on executor on large data projects and implementations.

Strategy and Development

  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive data and analytics strategy aligned with DOZR’s objectives and goals.
  • Play a critical role in defining the data architecture and lead a system integration that will guarantee real-time data availability, consistency, and integrity.
  • Develop the necessary models and projections to support strategic planning
  • Ensure analysis of data using best practice methodologies and consistent definitions to support evidence-based decision making and to identify trends

Data Analysis & Reporting Leadership

  • Development of data models, data definitions and reporting methodologies
  • Ensure the team acquires, develops, and maintains knowledge of best practices and tools needed for data acquisition, transformation, maintenance, and analysis
  • Stay on top of the emerging trends to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Role model and cultivate operational excellence by monitoring and reporting on all key engineering metrics related to data and systems.

Cross-team Collaboration

  • Work with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, marketing, finance, Revenue Operations to understand their needs.
  • Foster a data-driven culture across the organization by promoting data literacy and the use of data-driven decision frameworks.

People Leadership

  • Manager, support, and mentor other data analysts, engineers, and scientists as the team grows
  • Conduct regular 1:1s and support organizational management processes such as performance evaluations
  • Collaborate with HR function on hiring processes such as conducting interviews, developing assignments, training and onboarding as needed

REQUIREMENTS

  • 10 years of experience in a Data and business systems environment, 5+ years of management experience in building and scaling a data infrastructure team
  • Proven technical background and large-scale practical experience with SQL, GCP, MongoDB. Mode, Tableau, Mixpanel, reporting and self-serve analytical tools DevOps and test frameworks.
  • Proven experience with various data modeling techniques.
  • Solid understanding of data integration, quality, and governance.
  • Experience building multi-petabyte data warehouses and understanding of the challenges building analytical solutions for internal customers
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate sophisticated data topics into easy to understand insights for non-technical audiences.
  • The capability to synthesize inputs from engineering teams and develop a streamlined long-term roadmap, that can adjust and realign at the speed of the business.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, equivalent training, or work experience.
