Description:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree
  2. 10+ years of professional experience in program, product or operations management
  3. 7+ years of professional experience managing teams
  4. Business proficiency in English and one of the following languages: French, Spanish, Italian, or German.

The Trustworthy Shopping Experience team ensures all our products are safe, authentic, and compliant for customers. We identify, mitigate, and prevent product risk by working closely with selling partners, customers, brands, and regulators across the Amazon stores in UK and EU.
    In this role you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of ensuring Amazon’s product catalog in EU offers safe and compliant selection. You will lead a team that displays safety information for customers on our website, and works with sellers and brands to offer only safe and compliant products. You and your team will design, implement and operate processes, and help develop the software and machine learning we apply to improve our programs in product safety. This includes partnering with numerous Amazon teams, including Legal, Risk Operations, Software Development, Applied Science, Selling Partner Services, Catalog, Product Quality, Public Policy, and Public Relations.
    You have a track record of building efficient processes that combine human expertise, large data sets, and software tools to scale. You use data analysis to solve hard problems and support business decisions. You present complex information in a concise manner verbally and in writing.
    Key job responsibilities
  5. Build the strategy and execute the operational plan for product safety.
  6. Design and improve policies in partnership with Legal, Business, Risk Operations and others to protect our customers.
  7. Lead a team of product experts, risk and program managers.
  8. Identify and de-risk emerging new product categories and safety trends.
  9. Evaluate and implement new product regulation in UK and Europe.
  10. Measure and improve the effectiveness of our product controls and safety processes.
  11. Engage with regulatory partners and industry associations.

  12. Ability to present complex information in concise written and spoken English
  13. Track record of building productive and happy teams
  14. Experience working in e-commerce, product safety, or risk management
  15. Experience with high-scale technology programs (e.g. millions of customers, thousands of transactions per second, milliseconds of latency)
  16. Master’s degree
