POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Horsham, play a pivotal role in driving strategic financial decision-making within the Horsham site of the Clinical Trial Division (CTD) at ThermoFisher Scientific. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director Finance CTD EMEA, oversee the planning process, analyzing performance, and providing insights to support business growth and profitability. Lead a business +$250M revenue and provide strong business partnering to the team of Horsham site to further grow a business!
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or similar field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience in financial planning and analysis, implementing financial models and strategies
Exposure of driving operational improvements and implementing excellent standards in the FP&A function.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to analyse complex financial data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, using data to drive informed business decisions
Responsibilities:
- Own the development and execution of the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads aligning with financial goals with overall business objectives.
- Prepare monthly forecasts and variance analyses to assess financial performance against budget and prior periods, identifying key variances and making recommendations to optimise financial outcomes
- Partner with senior management to evaluate strategic initiatives, investment opportunities, and potential business risks.
- Build and maintain management reporting dashboards and critical metrics to track business performance and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Monitor and analyse financial results to support long term strategic planning, identifying trends and providing recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial plans with operational strategies. Serving as a strategic partner, providing financial expertise and guidance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning processes, whilst using automation and digitization tools to streamline workflows
- Hire, managing, mentoring, strengthening and developing the finance & accounting team to enable professional and technical growth as well as talent retention!
