FORMAL EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION

  • College diploma, university degree or alternative education in the field of business administration, computer science, or management information systems with 5 years related work experience.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
  • Working technical knowledge of programming languages.
  • Extensive experience with core software applications, including Microsoft, ProAlpha, SAP and other.
  • Proven experience in the operation and analysis of database hardware, software, and standards, as well as data retrieval methodologies and mainframe applications.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Relationship Manager. Build strong, collaborative relationships with business clients and IT service owners. Manage expectations of multiple business stakeholders.
  • Lead our Industrial Valves IT Team, cross functional in a matrix organization.
  • Define and manage our ERP implementation and support the business Functions and Key User Teams with coordination and guidance.
  • Ensure that effective communication occurs related to service and project delivery.
  • Provide a clear point of contact within IT for each business stakeholder.
  • Define, agree to, and report on key service metrics.
  • Act as an escalation point for major issues with any aspect of service delivery.
  • Work with project managers and clients to ensure project requirements are well understood and documented and approved by all stakeholders.
  • Understand the main business activities for each IT department and business. Be able to determine which IT services are required to complete a business activity.
  • Help the business understand project governance processes including the development of proposals and advance them through the project intake and assessment process.
  • Understand industry – trends, competition, and future direction.
  • Understand what end customer expect from IT services and bring this intelligence to business leaders and decision makers.
  • Understand how services currently offered by IT can be put to best user and create value for the business. Lead initiatives that create business value (increased revenue, reduce cost, increase efficiency) for the organization.
  • Leverage knowledge of the business, knowledge of the industry, and knowledge of leading-edge technological solutions to transform the way the business operates and provides services to its customers.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues.
  • Lead design sessions in prototyping new Applications for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing Applications and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these Apps.
  • Identify and establish scope and parameters of systems analysis in order to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions.
  • Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
  • Investigating user and Application issues – applying problem solving techniques to determine route cause and solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in Apps across the organization.
  • Application and End User Support and Troubleshooting
  • Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
  • Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmers.
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support.
  • Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new Apps.
  • Proactive communication with business and end users during outages or system issues.
  • Performing SOX audit controls – monthly, quarterly , semi-annual and annually as required.
