QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor*s degree or equivalent qualification
  • Lean six sigma, desirable

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Minimum 8 years* experience leading large-scale operational activities in a logistics, catering and or airside environment.
  • Experience leading a number of operations efficiency initiatives and service improvements.

Responsibilities:

Manage the day of operations on a shift across all functions to ensure timely delivery of airline catering services in line with the SLAs, PTS and other key performance indicators
1. Lead in proactively promoting and monitoring a safe working environment by complying with the relevant QHSE standards and regulatory requirements.
2. Support the Function in the deployment and monitoring of the wider operational strategy and prepare annual and seasonal functional CAPEX/OPEX/manpower requirement budgetary proposals based on forecast flight plan with relevant justifications.
3. Build positive and professional business relationships by collaborating with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the SLAs are met and exceeded.
4. Review the functional areas Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS) regularly to ensure relevance in the event of crisis.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional areas to review standards and procedures to ensure that processes are LEAN by optimisation of cost and resources.
6. Lead in the design and the deployment of new KPIs, KRAs, processes, best practices, new technologies and projects in the respective functional areas to optimise cost and provide solutions to promote an efficient operation.
7. Manage, guide and coach the team
s through clear objectives and talent management to improve performance and development in accordance with company values and code of conduct. Collaborate with the HR to facilitate skills development and succession planning.
8. Drive and manage the direct and indirect areas of the function’s service delivery objectives to achieve operational excellence.
9. Manage the manpower requirements including the resource pipeline and participate in talent acquisition to ensure optimum coverage, continuity of workflow and prevention of delays.
10. Lead and manage the Operations Control Centre to ensure optimal resource allocation in the delivery of airline catering services in line with the SLAs, PTS and other key performance indicators.
