Description:
EDUCATION
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in the life sciences.
- Advanced degree(s) and/or MBA preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- 7+ years of relevant product management experience including the development and commercialization of life sciences reagents.
- 3+ years of direct management experience
- Demonstrated ability to the successfully lead change within an organization
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional team.
- Consistent track record of creating an outstanding customer experience.
- Broad technical understanding consistent with the life sciences market.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Advanced knowledge of the life sciences, biotech and pharma markets.
- Familiarity with Thermo Fisher Scientific’s life sciences products a plus.
- Validated relationship-building skills in a multinational/multicultural environment.
- Global approach and strategic agility.
- 25% Travel required

Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Genome modulation and Editing strategy through coordination with cross functional teams within a matrixed organization.
- Ensure organizational readiness to implement strategy and work with sales, marketing, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, operations, and logistics partners to ensure an extraordinary customer experience.
- Lead a product management team that supports entire product life cycle:
- Build, lead, and supervise business plans & product road maps for existing products.
- Establish product positioning recommendations and work with marketing development functions to develop and implement successful product strategies.
- Drive growth of product portfolio through direct and indirect customer interactions.
- Ensure appropriate technical support for sales and field applications teams, including assistance with presenting and positioning products, product demos and service solutions.
- Apply business insight and high level problem solving skills to take on business challenges and expand market share.
- Act in a results oriented manner; be proactive and solution driven, think critically and overcome hurdles to implement strategy.
- Assess inorganic opportunities to accelerate strategy execution.
- Analyze, interpret, and report out to executive leadership regularly on sales forecasts, programs, market and channel trends and competition.
