Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Sales Operations, this role provides leadership in identifying training requirements to meet the business goals of our growing APJ marketplace and serves as the learning expert in both design and delivery of solutions that improves the efficiency of our commercial organizations. The role will involve partnering with the commercial leaders and our global training team to develop and deliver training in the classroom, field, virtual classroom or through online platforms.
You will come with hands-on experience in curating the training content. The individual will effectively engage commercial leaders, marketing leaders, and sales analytics & enablement collaborators to craft skills-based training curricula and sales excellence roadmaps for our field sales leaders.
Passion for coaching and sales development is a key requirement to succeed in this role. Success will be defined through Training feedback scores, Sales performance indicators (incl. Opportunity funnel) and Product Revenue growth. REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related discipline
  • 10+ years of sales/commercial training experience; Prior Life Sciences field sales experience a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of sales training best practices, analysis, instructional design, delivery, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Ability to utilise knowledge of adult learning theory, various learning styles, and effective information design principles to improve learner success and ensure overall efficiency of training.
  • Ability to effectively execute variety of training deliverable (i.e. Face-to-face instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training, self-guided resources)
  • Ability to use performance metrics and analysis to improve and customize training
  • Functional management experience and ability to define and concisely communicate sales training recommendations to senior leaders
  • Skilled at working across functions and stakeholders to define needs, leverage resources, implement plans and gain commitment to action. Comfortable working with people across cultures and beyond organization including suppliers and vendors to drive business results.
  • Commit to results orientation with experience in managing multiple tasks and staying flexible in a dynamic and changing environment with competing priorities.
  • Excellent collaboration, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Experience in managing a project from its initiation to delivery.
  • Prior experience with major learning management systems (LMS) preferred.

Responsibilities:

Define the sales excellence strategy, content, delivery through proactive training needs analysis with commercial leaders and key collaborators to ensure strategic alignment in building sales capabilities
Develop and implement success measurements to evaluate impact of training on improving sales performance. Conduct learner assessments, synthesize findings/insights and provide actionable recommendations for ongoing improvement.
Lead all aspects of sales training content development, embracing Thermo Fisher’s global selling methodologies and sales core proficiency frameworks including the region’s diversities in business landscapes, language and cultures.
Meets sales training financial objectives by forecasting sales training requirements; preparing an annual budget; Using analyze metrics to assess sales efficiency and provide improvement recommendations that impact revenue growth
Maintain sales training and development expertise via research, benchmarking and continuously seeking industry knowledge to ensure delivery methods are on the cutting edge.
Leverage contemporary remote learning resources to broaden learner experience and enhance training effectiveness. Apply creativity to design and deliver highly engaging training
Define strategy and plan to continuously improve and reinforce training methodologies, enhance sales onboarding program for new sales colleagues, and drive the development of sales colleagues
