Job Description:
We are looking for an exceptional engineering leader to spearhead and oversee our systems engineering, integration, and testing activities across the US and Canada.
In this pivotal position, you will shape the systems engineering vision and take ownership of the entire systems engineering lifecycle, encompassing requirements development, test traceability and monitoring, integration and test development, certification, and field trials.
The scope of this role spans HW, FW, Cloud, and Apps for our solar, storage, and EV Charging products. If you’re ready to make a difference in the world of sustainable energy, this is the place to be!
The role is based in Vancouver, BC (preferred) or in the larger LA, California area. Relocation from Canada or US to either location available.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL?

  • 8-10 years of experience leading systems engineering and test teams
  • 12-15 years of experience in system engineering, system architectures, requirements development, verification, validation, certification, and qualification
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire diverse and inclusive teams in a leadership capacity
  • Strong technical background and multidisciplinary knowledge in hardware, firmware, and/or software development is a must
  • Background in power conversion and experience in the solar, storage, and EV space is a strong plus
  • Proficiency with tools such as JAMA, Confluence, and JIRA
  • Previous experience working in fast-paced work environments across various time zones
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill
  • 20% + travel required

    The compensation range for this full-time position, which includes base pay and short-term incentive, is $160,000-$240,000 for candidates who are B.C. residents. Our salary ranges are determined by including roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities:

  • Manage the systems engineering teams, integration/test teams, and engineering labs in US and Canada
  • Translate offer and marketing requirements into system requirements down to the component level
  • Develop and drive the overall vision and framework for system integration and validation, ensuring successful product development
  • Review and evaluate test requirements, test plans, procedures, and schedules to guarantee the completeness and effectiveness of the testing program.
  • Establish systems engineering processes and tools, and oversee requirements and test traceability
  • Collaborate closely with the PMO to integrate systems activities into product schedules
  • Conduct readiness reviews, design reviews, and audits of system processes.
