REQUIREMENTS:

  • A strong degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience, including on site field applications support, mechanical design and integration, driver & software integration support, mechanical integration, and full system bring-up at customer site
  • Mechanical CAD design expert, with proficiency in simulation and modelling
  • Experience working with high volume customers leading to successful production ramp preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving approach and a strong desire to the see the customer succeed
  • Ability to work on own initiative to come with up with innovative solutions.
  • Ability to plan and deliver to tight schedules and be self-motivated
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, English proficiency required
  • Some international travel can be expected

Responsibilities:

Qorvo recently acquired a leading MEMs sensor company. This technology is used in applications such as Automotive, Smart Home, Smartphone, Computing and Gaming and TWS headset applications. This is an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work with a small team, based in Munich (Germany) to develop this business across Europe, working in both the consumer electronics industry and automotive sectors, providing world class applications support direct to customers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting customers with Mechanical and Electrical Design
  • Reviewing customer Mechanical CAD designs. Simulating MEMs sensor performance in CAD software to derive optimum performance for bespoke customer applications
  • Participating in multi-disciplinary system integration activities comprising Mechanical, Hardware, Software, and application specific system solutions
  • Supporting customers with system design validation and debug from prototype to successful mass production ramp
  • Delivering Technical Support for Mechanical, Hardware, Software and Application-specific system issues
  • Reproducing and solving technical issues seen on customer platforms in the laboratory
  • Working alongside Sales and Marketing teams to provide pre-design-in sales promotion support
  • Presenting Qorvo’s Force Sensor technology to customers, assessing customer technical requirements and proposing appropriate mechanical solutions to meet those requirements
  • Liaise between Qorvo Force Sensor Corporate Teams and customer from concept to mass production
  • Delivering port Force Sensor Software Integration to Customer Platforms
