Description:
SPECIFICALLY, YOU WILL:
- Owns the selling strategy and operations processes associated with new product and category introductions, seasonal events and priorities, events, and product launches. I.e. Exclusive launches, new categories, back to school selling plan, print promotional campaigns, tech services and telecom programs, looking for opportunities to maximize the basket.
- Identify new revenue-generation opportunities that enhance and promote Staples, as well as leveraging the assets and capabilities of Staples Canada’s overall business
Responsibilities:
The Sr Manager, Sales and Business development, is a key leader of the Sales and Customer experience team working directly with the Operations, Merchandising, Services, and Field leadership teams in the development and execution of new solutions, services offerings, processes, training and working routines to increase sales chainwide.
A self-starter with a strong business background in developing and executing successful sales programs, operational processes and working routines to improve sales, customer experience and associate engagement. This role will work across teams at Staples and partners in developing deep relationships and expanding and exploring opportunities for growth.
This role represents the field perspective in many cross functional meetings and projects, providing field insights, creative ideas and solutions. They will collaborate closely with teams across Field Leadership, Operations, Learning and Development, Merchandising, Marketing, and Services to identify opportunities to drive business results, support stores and develop and implement executable selling programs chainwide. This role is both highly tactical in leading the team to execute sales initiatives as well as strategic to have future-looking, creative ideas to continue to evolve the business. This position will be responsible for developing, managing, directing, and implementing business services sales and operational strategies to ensure the team meets and exceeds Sales targets. Key areas of impact in the areas of Print & Marketing Services, Tech and Telecom Services, educational sales programs and technology products. Also responsible for creating a strong sales environment through training programs, facilitation and driving the sales culture.
