Description:

UMB Bank NA seeks a Sr. .NET Developer/Application Developer III for Kansas City, MO, with option to telecommute, work from anywhere within US.
Our Enterprise Service IT Development team provides application development and Tier 2 support. We work closely with our business partners in developing new web applications, enhancing existing ones, and building enterprise services for our Digital, FinTech and Healthcare partners. As a senior-level full-stack .NET Developer, you will be involved in developing web/REST based enterprise services for our products within the banking space. This will include working with technical teams and users to solve any potential issues. You will also work closely with our Enterprise, Solutions, and Application Architects to design systems that meet the challenges of our Consumer, Commercial, and Healthcare partners. As a senior developer you will be involved in design sessions with architects and act as a tech lead for projects. As part of this role you will be involved in mentoring Junior developers and brining best patterns and practices to the current eco system. How you’ll spend your time:
The Sr. .NET Developer/Application Developer III will be responsible for configuring, installing, testing, and supporting of in a Windows server environment. Support of systems for resolution of production incidents. On-call support for systems during overnight and weekend hours. Business partner interaction for the identification, documentation and resolution of business partner development requests. Business partner testing support for installation/upgrade of assigned applications. Scope, estimate, design, configure, analyze, maintain, troubleshoot, and test technical and non-technical solutions required to satisfy clients’ needs. Perform development tasks which will involve extraction and transfer of data, performing all associated transformations, validations, cleansing, and preparation of data for load into the applicable system(s). Work on elements of large, complex installations. Develop and implement process improvements, be a resource and advocate for the business partners and will work closely with the system administrators and database administrators to perform space planning, monitoring, security, performance tuning, archiving, and upgrade support. Work closely with user and management to maintain and continually improve the operations, maintenance, and documentation of the systems. Make recommendations to users and management regarding system expansions, alternative approaches, enhancements and operational improvements. Advocate for change and assist in the alignment of team initiatives to MIS strategic goals and priorities. Develop long term strategic road map for the technology area. Perform additional application developer duties, as assigned.
We’re excited to talk if you have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.

Five years’ progressive experience which must include experience in the following, concurrently:

  • a technical role supporting or designing application technologies;
  • distributed client server environments, Microsoft .Net Technologies, SQL Server and Web Technologies development, configuration of interface software, and the development or configuration of interface software;
  • analyzing the business use cases and providing a banking industry standard design; and
  • experience in the following technologies: Microsoft: Microsoft .Net 6, C#.Net 10, ASP.Net MVC 5.2, ASP.Net Core 6; Web Technologies: HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript and JQuery; and Database: SQL Server

Position also requires demonstrated knowledge of the following: IBM DataPower Gateway on Developing and Deploying API and Services, and converting the banking business use cases to banking standard design solution.
