Description:
We have a great opportunity for someone who has a strong interest in networking hardware and software. This is a great job for someone who is well versed in interfacing, security, Internet protocols and server and network infrastructure. There is a job opening being hired through Robert Half for a Network Engineer with a high attention to detail and a passion for the field. This permanent Network Engineer position is located in the Indianapolis, Indiana area.
Major responsibilities
- Provide high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology, including hardware, hubs, bridges and routers
- Work alongside vendors, clients, carriers and technical staff on implementing, optimizing, and consistently managing of networks
- Set up and manage network test facilities
- Maintain a secure transfer of data to a variety of locations via internal and external networks
- Use traditional and creative methods to engineer enterprise data, voice and video networks
REQUIREMENTS:
- Networking experience
- An understanding of networking such as switching and routing is highly valued
- Cisco Routers experience
- Knowledge of TCP/IP
- Experience with Network Engineering
- Network communication experience preferred
- DHCP DNS experience
