This role is responsible for using our clients’ data and turning it into concise, informative and strategically relevant information to help them make informed decisions. Your technical expertise will support cause-driven organisations to achieve their goals and make a real difference in our communities.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Developing visual reports in Power BI to represent internal data sets.
  • Attend meetings with clients to gain an understanding of their reporting requirements.
  • Connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data for analysis.
  • Improving data collection and analysis process over time to become automated.
  • Articulating analytical rational for translating data into informative reports and visuals.
  • Responsible for design methodology and project handover.
  • Proactively bringing key internal team members together to understand detailed requirements and then translate into development of visual data sets.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive experience in Power BI and Data Analysis (minimum 4 years).
  • Extensive Data Analysis and Reporting experience using large data sets.
  • Expert level Power BI development, maintenance and improvement.
  • Expert level Microsoft Office suite skills, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to learn proprietary systems for data extraction and analysis purposes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to understand the requirement and translate to technical output.
  • Agile time management to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • You will work with all stakeholders, gathering requirements and delivering insight and reporting solutions through innovative use of analysis and information presentation.
  • Provide expert knowledge and guidance relating to data analysis and presentation.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with the agile ways and delivery method.
  • A can-do attitude and good communication skills.

Responsibilities:

This opportunity can be structured for someone who is looking for a contracting/consulting type arrangement or for permanent, full-time employment. Our need is for 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday). We have an office in Eden Terrace, Auckland, but we support working from home for those that prefer the flexibility, however, some clients require in-person meetings occasionally to discuss their reporting requirements (Auckland based clients only).
