REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s or ( preferred) PhD degree in Natural Sciences (Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) or Semiconductor Engineering (Electronics, Electrical Engineering)
- First e xperience in semiconductor manufacturing process, defect density systems, and statistical methods.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to respond to changing priorities to meet business needs.
- Capability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams and clients.
- Fluency in English and German language (spoken and written).

Responsibilities:
SUMMARY OF ROLE
Our team pursues the GlobalFoundries mission of “zero excursion, zero defect” and ensures best-in-class quality products. We use leading edge detection technology and continuously sharpen our defect control strategies. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with strong team spirit to join our team.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- You handle d efect data in production and development.
- You monitor trends and verify changes such as new processes or new tools.
- You identify systematic defect problems and deal with excursions.
- You perform complex analysis and correlations – like DSA (defect source analysis) or DOE (design of experiment).
- You discuss your results in interdisciplinary teams of experts to pinpoint the root cause and drive defect reduction.
- You support program teams to enable early prototyping, qualification, milestones, and ramp of new products.
- You create reports and communicate the defect status to our internal and external customers.
In sum you have a direct responsibility and impact to avoid excursions and incr ease yield, and hence contribute significantly to our company’s success.
