We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Sr Procurement/Sourcing Specialist at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. A Day in the Life:
- Determine procurement needs and develop sourcing strategies to successfully implement them
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure flawless execution of procurement processes
- Compete supplier selection and qualification processes to ensure the highest quality and value
- Strictly adhere to company policies and procedures to maintain integrity and compliance
- Continuously monitor supplier performance and take necessary actions to drive improvement
- Contribute to the development of procurement strategies and initiatives
- Support negotiations with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable contract terms
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred (equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered).
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably in a scientific or healthcare industry.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
