We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Sr Procurement/Sourcing Specialist at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. A Day in the Life:

  • Determine procurement needs and develop sourcing strategies to successfully implement them
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure flawless execution of procurement processes
  • Compete supplier selection and qualification processes to ensure the highest quality and value
  • Strictly adhere to company policies and procedures to maintain integrity and compliance
  • Continuously monitor supplier performance and take necessary actions to drive improvement
  • Contribute to the development of procurement strategies and initiatives
  • Support negotiations with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable contract terms

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred (equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered).
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably in a scientific or healthcare industry.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
